Leanne is currently the since February 2019. She was born in Pretoria and matriculated at Die Hoerskool Menlopark. She qualified as a Registered Nurse (General, Midwifery, Psychiatry and Community) from the University of Pretoria in 2006. After her basic nursing degree qualification she was part of the commencing of Netcare Blaauwberg Hospital and worked 4 years in the Labour Ward and Maternity Unit.

She then pursued her career in Emergency Nursing, specialised Trauma and Emergency Nursing through University of Pretoria in 2013 and worked at Netcare Unitas in the Emergency Department. Leanne then completed and cum laude her Masters in Clinical Nursing in 2017. In 2017 she implemented the Trauma and Emergency 6 month course at Netcare Education. Leanne qualified as a TNCC (Trauma Nursing Core Course) Instructor in 2018.

Leanne enjoys the term: swim, bike, run and has completed half Ironman.
